Scrapbooking Your Goals: How Scrapbooking Helps You Achieve Your Dreams

When I first started scrapbooking, I have a hobby as a way to document my family's memories, such as birthdays, Christmas, and much more. However, over time, I realized how powerful scrapbooking could be a way of tracking their goals and dreams, more like a magazine progress towards the future rather than as a record of the past. I've always been a list-maker and goal-maker, and combining scrapbooking with my personality type is a natural next step.

Tons of research on goal setting has shown that writing down your goals is one of the most important steps you can make it to their dreams. In fact, some estimates say that more than double your chances of achieving your goals if you write them down. So, I mean how likely you are to make their dreams happen if you create a colorful scrapbook around the theme! Not only could add pictures of what you want to achieve, and can also monitor your progress on the road. Here are just some of the kinds of goals scrapbooking can help you achieve:

1 Weight loss / fitness. Popular scrapbooker Cathy Zielske has created a monthly schedule, charting its progress towards a healthier lifestyle, by January 2010. She shares the look on his blog and has inspired many others to do the same. Each layout includes before and after photos, and statistics for monitoring and measuring its weight. It's amazing to watch her transformation!

2 House remodel. home remodeling business is slow. But if you take a step-by-step movement towards the end, you can keep your spirits up on the road. Plus it's fun to come back after the project is complete and see how things used to be! These could include drawings, patterns, colors, photos, and more.

3 "10 Dreams" album. This is my latest project. I have compiled a small album, including 10 goals, each on its own page. I look at it often to remind ourselves of some of the fun things I want to end up in the near future, including planting a vegetable garden and taking hula-hooping class.

4 Race album. My daughter and I run road races together, so I started album of photos from each race. Our goal is to finish 25 races during the high school graduates from high school. Since she was in fifth grade now, it's about three years, which is totally do-able! But after the album waiting to remind us of our commitment makes us more likely to find opportunities to perform together.
