It's always great to sit at home and watch some funny movies with friends, family or even yourself.

However, there are some who have seen at least once in their lifetime. From the day Charlie Chaplain's silent comedy to political satire from the 1990s, has something for everyone when it comes to the best of all time.

10: Odd Couple (1968)

Starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, this film is about two best friends Felix (Lemmon) and Oscar (Matthau). After being ejected and divorced, Felix (compulsive cleaner) is forced to move in with Oscar who also happens to be outright monkey. This is one of those funny movies that stand the test of time so well that it even spawned several sequels in the 90-ies.

9: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)

If you like funny movies and Marilyn Monroe, this music is for you. Monroe plays Lorelei Lee, a stripper dreams of marrying a millionaire. After taking a cruise to Paris, she finds herself in a dilemma with Sir Francis Beekman (Charles Coburn played), a wealthy mine owner of diamonds. The rest of the film deals with Lorelei and her friend Dorothy getting back to the states to continue their search for the men of their dreams.

8: Before Sunrise (1995)

Ethan Hawke roles, this romantic comedy takes place in Vienna, where Jesse (Hawke) meets Celine (Julie Delpy plays) on the train and the two decide to spend a day with each other. However, what began as a one-night stand turns into something more. This is one of those funny movies that is heavy on romance, but it is written well enough to keep you watching and laughing until the end.

7: Bob Roberts (1992)

In this political mockumentary, starring Tim Robbins Bob Roberts: The right-wing folksinger who is running for senator from Pennsylvania. Although Bob has a clean record and good looks, he's got a few secrets that could blow the election and his campaign wide open. However, he does what others are deceiving politicians do: manipulate the media. In addition to hosting numerous actors, it's one of those funny movies that will make you think twice about the people who vote for (regardless of party affiliation)

6: Husbands and Wives (1992)

of the famous director (and star of the film) Woody Allen, this film tells the story of a couple who have a rough time keeping their relationship intact. Gabe and Judy Roth (played by Allen and Mia Farrow), spend most of the film arguing over the years they were together and what they want to have happen. All this and much more is happening when they hear their friends Jack and Sally decide to get a divorce.

5: City Lights (1931)

If you wanted a good silent comedy with a side of romance in 1930, Charlie Chaplain was a man ask for. The film tells the story of a blind girl, who returns to her eyesight due to incomplete titled "Rogue" (the chaplain). the two fall in love and the rest of the movie is filled with all the chaplain slapstick humor is famous for.

4: The Life of Reilly (2007)

This documentary / stand-up performance and feature stars the late great Charles Neilson Reilly performs as a one-man show. In the meantime, he also reveals stories about his childhood and the good times and bad times had to be gay actor in Hollywood.

3: Philadelphia Story (1940)

Based on the Philip Barry play, this romantic comedy starred Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant as the bride-to-be and magazine journalist. Tracy Lord (Hepburn) is getting married to a coal executive and wedding becomes talk of the town. So much so that Spy magazine sent one of its journalists and a former Tracy, Dexter Haven (Grant), to cover the event.

2: Modern Times (1936)

Charlie Chaplain plays a disgruntled factory worker who hates his job and his boss (who follows their every move from the comfort of your office). He meets a girl, falls in love, and the two dreams are living in the suburbs of happily ever after. It was not only one of the best funny movies of all time, but it was also chaplain to the last silent film.

1: Dr. Strangelove or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love Bomb (1964)

directed by Stanley Kubrick, this comedy, set during the Cold War, the B-52 bomber that has lost communication with the United States and is ready to attack the Russian base containing Doomsday Machine. In the meantime, wacky generals and politicians go berserk drunk on the outcome if the bomber completes his mission. Best scene: a bomber pilot rides an atomic bomb as a bull, and he falls to the ground
